you know, for a long time when the conversation would turn to favorite cartoons of yore, I would always mention the cartoon where “these kids go to an alternate reality called the ‘flipside’ to pay music…do you remember that one?”

invariably, the answer was a dumbfounded ‘no’. it took the magic and the wonder that is the interwebs to allow me to rediscover Kidd Video in my life, and I wan to share it with you.

so the kids would become cartoons! and they would fly around in a magic taxi and party with a pixie. it’s awesome. best part? they would have songs from the charts play as musical interlude… I give you “Safety Dance” (at 4:30)

and!! AND!!! they lip sych live on the show at the end. are you kidding me? pink floyd!??!

I guess their album was only released in israel… only proving to me again that jews have great taste.
