big sur & cluster

so danny and i decided to drive up to big sur on a whim… sorta… Cluster was playing the henry miller library, so at least we had a destination. for those that think it’s a long way to drive for “kraut rock,” keep in mind these guys were doing beats and oscillations when Kraftwork were still recording flutes and violas.


the resultant 28 hours of escapade are not easily expressed in words… let me cut to the chase…

So we ended up staying in a little hotel called “The big sur inn” in the chateau fiasco. no, really. goggles and helmets dutifully and lovingly hung by the bedside. After the show, in a fit of delirium, I attempted to break into Esalen, gonzo style. I was un successful.
